PORTLAND 4, SCARBOROUGH 2

PORTLAND 4, SCARBOROUGH 2: William Snyder and Don Tocci scored twice as Portland (3-4) edged the Red Storm (5-1) in Scarborough.
Snyder singled home Tocci and then scored on Benjamin Sawyer’s groundout for a 2-0 lead in the fourth. The Bulldogs doubled the lead in the sixth when Camren King singled home Snyder and Tocci came across on a wild pitch.
Scarborough threatened in the bottom of the seventh, loading the bases with no one out. Nick Martin and Morgan Pratt scored when Jack Clark’s fielder’s choice grounder was thrown away, but those were the only two runs allowed by Portland.
Kings finished with three hits for Portland, and Pratt two for Scarborough.
