Brad Carlton, Biddeford, junior: Carlton will pitch and play the infield. If last year is any indicator, he should also be a key to the offense as he batted .391 last season.

Dana Gobeil, Biddeford, senior: Another player the Tigers will be counting on for his pitching, defense and hopefully, offense. He was 2-0 on the mound and looks to improve his .220 average of last season.

Brett Garland, Bonny Eagle, senior: Garland will pitch and play first base. He hit .225 and had a 1-4 record on a poor team.

Ryan Walker, Bonny Eagle, junior: The big left-hander could be baffling to hitters as he hopes to give the Scots a shot at making the playoffs.

Steve May, Brunswick, senior: May won three games last season as a pitcher. He´ll also play first base. He´s a good hitter with good defensive skills at first.

Josh Clark, Brunswick, junior: Clark is a third-year starter. He´ll play shortstop and will be the team´s No. 2 pitcher. He batted .330.

Mike Cummons, Camden Hills, senior: A center fielder, he batted .450. He´s a player who can do a little of everything.

Noah Burke, Camden Hills, junior: Burke hit .300 last year. He will catch and pitch.

Liam O´Shea, Cape Elizabeth, senior: O´Shea will be the No. 1 starter after being No. 3 the last two seasons. The right-hander has lost only once in 10 starts.

Drake Livada, Cape Elizabeth, senior: He has started at third base for the last two years. Livada led the team in runs and RBI. He batted .385.

Mike Kertes, Cape Elizabeth, senior: Kertes has been an all-league second-team selection at second base. He will lead off.

Costa Kapothanasis, Cheverus, senior: A co-captain, he is one of the top pitchers and hitters in the SMAA.

Austin Pickering, Cheverus, senior: The other co-captain for the Stags is a very dependable catcher and timely hitter.

Josh Linscott, Deering, senior: Linscott is the only starter back for the Rams. He will play third base and help out with pitching. He should be one of the team´s top hitters.

Wills Dowd, Deering, junior: Dowd looked strong in preseason. He will play in the outfield. Missed last year with an injury.

Dan Walker, Falmouth, junior: Slated to be the No. 1 starter, Walker won a playoff game last season.

Aaron Paradis, Falmouth, senior: Another pitcher for the Yachtsmen, Paradis went 2-4 last season and 5-1 as a sophomore.

Mark Schmidt, Gorham, senior: Schmidt is a returning All-State pitcher who went 11-0 and led the Rams to the Class B state title. He batted .450.

Sam Sturgis, Gorham, senior: Sturgis missed a portion of last season with a broken hand, but recovered to play in the playoffs. He will pitch and play third base.

Scott McDonald, Gorham, senior: McDonald figures to be an anchor at shortstop again. He had a .903 fielding percentage and batted .310.

Matt Moberg, Gray-New Gloucester, junior: Moberg is strong defensively behind the plate and batted .330 last season.

Jared Dunn, Gray-New Gloucester, senior: Dunn won two games on the mound, which was half the team´s wins. A fast curve and sinker are his best pitches.

Sam Green, Greely, senior: Green was a workhorse on the Rangers´ pitching staff with 12 appearances in 19 games. His fastball has been clocked at 87 mph.

Chris Martin, Greely, senior: Martin is a two-time all-conference selection as an outfielder who batted .434 last season with two homers and 16 RBI.

Kirk Metayer, Kennebunk, junior: Metayer is solid behind the plate and a good leader. He should improve upon his .260 batting average of last season.

Nick Nadeau, Kennebunk, senior: A three-year varsity player, this third baseman looks to better his .250 average of last season.

Steve Hall, Morse, senior: Hall ranks as one of the top pitchers in the KVAC, He has a good mix of pitches.

Marshall Chick, Mt. Ararat, senior: Chick batted .380 and was second on the team in RBI. He will attend Wheaton College.

Brandon Wyman, Mt. Ararat, senior: Wyman had a 5-3 record last season. He plans to attend St. Joseph´s College.

Kyle Dorr, Noble, senior: Dorr is the Knights´ top pitcher and had wins over Portland and South Portland.

Brandon Spencer, Noble, senior: A three-year starter, the catcher is regarded as the team´s top hitter.

Sean Lynch, North Yarmouth Academy, senior: He will play shortstop and pitch for the Panthers.

Joe Douglass, Poland, junior: The Knights´ leadoff batter hopes to be an offensive catalyst like last year.

Tyler Merchant, Poland, junior: A returning starting shortstop, he batted .326 and was a second-team all-conference pitcher.

Joe Fessenden, Portland, senior: Fessenden is a top hitter and pitcher for the Bulldogs. He batted .383 with 15 RBI. Fessenden made first-team all-SMAA and was an All-State player as a sophomore.

Joey Martin, Portland, senior: Martin was an All-State selection his sophomore year. A top center fielder and strong pitcher, Martin batted .333 with 22 RBI.

John O´Brion, Portland, senior: O´Brion hit .426 and was an All-State selection at second base. He also could serve time as the backup catcher.

Chris Jennings, Oxford Hills, senior: He went 3-0 as a starting pitcher and batted .324. He was the winning pitcher in the Class A state final.

Alex Waite, Oxford Hills, senior: He will pitch and play the outfield. Waite batted .385 and was 2-0 as a pitcher.

Dustin Stanton, Sacopee Valley, sophomore: He uses a fastball and curve to keep hitters off balance and give the Hawks a shot to make the playoffs.

Tim Kingston, Sacopee Valley, senior: Kingston starts his second year as the varsity catcher. He batted over .400 last season.

Evan Gray, Sanford, senior: Gray is the team´s No. 1 pitcher. He had five wins last season, including a 1-0 win over Portland.

Garrett Goodhue, Sanford, senior: He batted. 290 and didn´t make an error at second last season.

Derek Poulin, Scarborough, senior: Poulin, the team´s catcher, batted .330 and hit five homers.

Steve Bartlett, South Portland, senior: A left fielder and relief pitcher, he batted .292 last season. One of the few veterans back.

Josh Garneau, South Portland, junior: The Red Riots´ most experienced pitcher, he had a 1-1 record last season.

Craig Perham, Thornton Academy, senior: A pitcher and second baseman, he batted .410 and made only three errors.

Andrew Letellier, Thornton Academy, senior: A team captain, Letellier was a second-team all-league selection at shortstop and batted .350.

Josh Doyle, Thornton Academy, senior: The Golden Trojans´ No. 1 pitcher, he registered five wins last season.

Nate Johnson, Windham, sophomore: He started as a freshman at catcher and came on strong at the end of the year.

Derek Hanrahan, Windham, senior: Hanrahan begins his third year at shortstop and has a knack for making the big plays.

Nick Laude, Wells, senior: A pitcher and catcher, he was 3-1 and hit .280 with three homers.

Matt Quint, Wells, senior: Quint hit .460 and led the team in every offensive category except homers. He battled .460.

Adam Hamilton, Westbrook, junior: Hamilton is the Blue Blazes´ only returning letter winner. The outfielder hit .304.
