Coach: Kelley Cullenberg (17th season)
Last season: 11th in Class A, 3rd in Eastern Class A, 5th in KVAC Class A
Top returners: Richie Brooks (Sr.), Kelton Cullenberg (Sr.), Alex Luchini (Sr.), Tash Doughty (Sr.), Nick Wilkins (Sr.), Brody Hines (Jr.), Jonah Jones (So.), Kris Nadeau (Jr.), Kjell Nordstrom (Jr.), Jackie Chen (So.)
Key newcomers: Matt Dyke (Jr.), Jake Correll (Fr.), Eli Davis (Fr.), Sully Jackson (Fr.), Justin Tracy (Fr.)
Outlook: Kelton Cullenberg is the latest in a line of strong Mt. Blue boys runners and should contend for the Class A title after finishing sixth last fall. As a freshman, Luchini ran races in the 27 minute range and as a senior will be hoping to break 18 minutes.
Coach’s comment: “On paper, we are looking for a fifth runner this year. I think we have that person on the team but we just have to feel that out and see how it goes. I’m so excited about this year because we have a number of freshmen on the team.”
