Coach: Anthony Amero (16th season)
Last season: 18-4, lost in Class D state final
Top returners: G/F Evan Worster (Sr., 6-3), G Derick Ouellette (Sr., 6-1), G Nathan Jalbert (Jr., 5-7), G Matt Turner (So., 6-1), F Ryan Petrin (So., 6-2), G Brandon Ouellette (So., 5-7), C Tanner Daigle (So., 6-4).
Key newcomers: G Quintin West (So., 5-9), G Brent Worster (Fr., 5-5)
Outlook: The Tigers won their first regional championship last season, and they reached the state final by climbing on the back of Worster, who scored a record 106 point in the three-game regional tournament. A 1,000-point scorer, Worster is back for his senior season and is one of the top players in Class D. Along with Worster, the Tigers return the entire starting lineup from last season. Turner, Petrin, Daigle and Brandon Ouellette saw a lot of playing time as freshmen last season and will be improved. The Tigers will contend for another regional title.
Coach’s comment: “Offensively, this is the most firepower I’ve seen here. Our goal is to make it to Augusta and make a run.”
