McAuley Girls Basketball
Allie Clement, still just a junior, led McAuley to its third straight Class A state championship, and already is planning with teammates to give a good run at four in a row.

Coach: Bill Goodman, second year
Last year: 22-0, Class A state champion
Returning starters: 3
Impact players: Allie Clement, jr., PG; Olivia Smith, jr., C; Victoria
Lux, soph., F; Molly Mack, sr., F; Olivia Dalphonse, soph., G; Jackie
Welch, jr., G; Sarah Clement, fr., G
Outlook: There may not be a team in the state with the talent, depth,
versatility and defensive toughness that the Lions have. The two-time
defending Class A state champs are loaded and look poised to repeat.
They combine great talent in the backcourt with size and experience down
low to cause matchup headaches for everyone. Clement excels at pushing
the pace and making smart decisions, while Smith (6-2), Lux (6-0) and
Mack (6-0) are all offensive and defensive threats. The addition of
Dalphonse from Bonny Eagle makes this team even stronger.
