Coach: Doug Lisherness (26th season)
Last season: 11-9, reached Western Class C quarterfinals
Top returners: F Miranda Smith (Sr., 5-8), C Annie Dexter (Sr., 5-11), F Jill Howard (Sr., 5-7), F Staci Plog (Sr., 5-6), G Mikayla Luce (Sr., 5-5), G Alex Harnden (Jr., 5-5), G Brooklyn Millbury (So., 5-6)
Key newcomers: F Sarenah Lariviere (Jr., 5-6), G Mckenzie Tyler (So., 5-5), G Mikayla Martin (Fr.), G Keely Marble (Fr., 5-5)
Outlook: The Roadrunners look like a playoff team again. With Dexter, Howard and Smith, they should have one of the best inside games in the MVC. Mt. Abram faced tough teams like Mt. Blue and Rangeley in the preseason and Lisherness felt that would only help in the long run.
Coach’s comment: “Conditioning is going to be a big key for us. The good thing is, they’re young. In a week or two, they can be in shape.”
