Coach: Heath Cowan (9th season)
Last season: 12-8, reached Eastern Class A semifinals
Top returners: G Cheyenne Malloy (Sr., 5-3), F Adriana Martineau (Sr., 5-9), F Chelsey Whittemore (Sr., 5-9), G Natasha Thompson (Sr., 5-2), G Desiree Brochu (Sr., 5-6), G Taylor Johnson (Jr., 5-5), F Andrea Quirion (Jr., 5-10), F Morgan Buker (Jr., 6-1), G Alanna Atkinson (Jr., 5-6),
Key newcomers: G Emma Fitzgerald (Jr., 5-6), G Holly Lupo (Jr., 5-4), F Tracey Swanson (Fr., 5-5)
Outlook: The Indians relied heavily on Amanda Johnson for their offense last season, and with Johnson gone to graduation, they will be more balanced this winter. Cowan looks at that as an asset, and the Indians have some players who can do different things.
Coach’s comment: “Over the last couple years, we’ve gotten away a little bit from defending every possession. In order for us to be a good basketball team, we’ve really got to rebound the ball and we’ve really got to defend it.”
