Coach: Ted Rioux (3rd season)
Last season: 22-0, Class B state champions
Top returners: C Morgan Frame (Sr., 6-1), G Stephanie Whitten (Sr., 5-5), G Paige Gardiner (Sr., 5-6), F Jasmine Bishop (Sr., 5-9), G Taylor Hart (Sr., 5-5), G Jen Nale (Jr., 5-6), G Stacie Whitten (Jr., 5-5), F Taylor Frame (Jr., 5-8)
Outlook: This is clearly the best team in Eastern B, and one that is aiming to be the best team in Class B for the third straight season. The Purple Panthers will miss the contributions of Sarah Given and Kayla Smith, who are gone to graduation, but Rioux likes what he has to replace that in Stacie Whitten, Taylor Frame, Bishop and Hart. Returning starters Morgan Frame, Steph Whitten, Nale and Gardiner are all among the best in the conference at their positions.
Coach’s comment: “I think we do what we do well, and I think if we continue to do that, it will spell out a lot of wins for us.”
