Coach: Brandon Salway, seventh year
Last year: 13-8, lost in West final
Returning starters: 5
Impact players: Martha Veroneau, sr., PG; Catherine Veroneau, sr., F; Ann Veroneau, fr., G; Rhiannan Jackson, sr., G; Leigh Fernandez, jr., G.
Outlook: The Flyers showed last year they can shoot the ball with any team. Four-year starter Martha Veroneau set Class C tournament records with 47 points and nine 3-pointers in the Western semifinal and the team set single-game and tournament 3-point records. A small group, they will continue to look to run whenever possible. Catherine Veroneau could be the key. She missed the playoffs last year with a second ACL surgery but is back and playing well. Younger sister Ann is expected to crack the starting lineup. Sophomore guards Julianna Harwood and Helen Gray-Bauer are also returning. With several tough Class B matchups on the schedule, the Flyers may suffer some losses but will be a very real threat come playoff time.
