Outlook: The Purple Panthers are thin on numbers, with just 15 players on their roster. Dennis is the top returning scorer — he scored four goals and 10 assists for 14 points. He will play with Lee and Oliveira on the top line. Lee scored 10 points last season. Samson and Sturtevant will skate together on another line. Kane will open the season as the starting goalie for the Panthers, who should contend for a playoff berth.
Coach’s comment: “We’ll be fighting for one of the top four spots with the schedule we have. Our first two lines will be pretty solid.”
