Outlook: Gifford is confident in the girls alpine team this season, as the Black Bears return several veteran skiers and have a large group of newcomers. With 18 skiers, depth will not be an issue for Maranacook. Consistency, Gifford said, will be the key for the team.
Coach’s comment: “The alpine girls should be competitive with many teams this coming season, and their success at the end of the season will be determined by their progress through the season becoming more consistent and their ability to push their personal speed limits.”
