Key newcomers: Emily Roy (Fr., I.M.), Katie Mercier (Fr., breaststroke), Natalie Corrigan(So., freestyle), Elizabeth Larsen (Fr., butterfly, freestyle)
Outlook: The Eagles won the KVAC A title last winter, thanks in large part to four seniors — Samantha Briggs, Amanda Joy, Samanthia Mathieu and Lindsey Prelgovisk. As a freshman, Kristy Prelgovisk set the KVAC A record in the 100 breaststroke and was third in the 100 butterfly. She also finished second in the Class A meet in the 100 breaststrkoke and 50 free. Fischang is another promising swimmer.
Coach’s comment: “The girls still maintain a core of determined swimmers hoping to carry the team to another KVAC title. We need to perform well throughout the season, looking to peak in time for KVAC and states. I think the team is very excited for the season.”
