Coaches: Bob Morison, Shawn Carey
Last season: second in KVAC Class B, fifth in Class B
Top returners: Katie Smith (Sr., jumps), Alliyah Veilleux (Sr., sprints), Molly Schassberger (Sr., distance), Autumn Poulin (Jr., sprints), Kelsey Houston (So., sprints), MacKenzie Winslow (So., sprints, pole vault), Brooke Haskell (So., sprints), Nicole Fletcher (Jr., jumps), Brittany White (Jr., distance, pole vault, Gabrielle Languet (So., sprints), Nicole Violette (Sr., pole vault, throws). Autumn Hopkins (Jr., jumps, distance), Miranda Hotham (So., distance), Mikayla Boucher (So., sprints)
Key newcomers: Jasmine Ellis (Fr., sprints), Ciera Poulin (Fr., sprints, distance), Joanne Bourgoin (So., distance).
Outlook: The Raiders return an abundance of talented athletes to stay competitive in KVAC B. Veilleux is poised for another standout season. She finished second in the shot put at the Class B meet and third in the 55-meter dash. Schassberger will lead the distance group while Smith should score well in the jumps. The newcomers should also make an immediate impact as well.
Coach’s comment: “We’ll be right there in KVACs again, knocking on the door. We still have a good core back.”
