Coach: David Nordstrom (4th year)
Last season: 2nd in Class A
Top returners: Zach Veayo (Sr.), Sully Jackson (Sr.), Ike Doiron (Jr.), Silas Rogers (Jr.), Dustin Staples (Jr.), Max Kay (So.), Dan Lesko (So.), Sam McIntosh (So.)
Key newcomers: Brendan Hickey (So.), Steven Minns (Fr.), Andrew Roberts (Fr.)
Outlook: The Cougars lost only one scoring skier (North Kay) to graduation, and have a surplus of returners with a year of experience under their belt, making them possibly the most dangerous squad in the state. The Cougars also have new recruits from the cross-country team. Expect the Cougars to either be at or near the top of Class A.
Coach’s comment: “The high level of mutual support within the team keeps everyone strong, focused and happy. This is the foundation that keeps us in the mix.”
