Outlook: The Black Bears had great success last season, winning the KVAC championship and placing third at states. There’s plenty to like about Maranacook. They return three key skiers in Colan, Wicks and Despres, and with 28 skiers, they have excellent numbers. However, the Black Bears lack in experience, and how the team develops will be key to the season.
Coach’s comment: “As with the boys, I’m impressed with the fitness level of the girls team and think our success as a team will hing on the technical development as the season progresses. I love the attitude and work ethic of this team to start the season.”
