BONNY EAGLE
Coach:
Kevin Cooper, 12th year
Last year: 11-1, Class A state champs
Returning starters: 9
Impact players: Ryan Nason, senior, QB/DB; Matt Rollins, junior, QB/LB; Joe Davis, senior, WR/DB; Steve Martin, senior, WR/LB; Corey Vandeventer, senior, OT/DT; Josh Lund, senior, OG/DT; Sam Proudman, senior, RB/DB; Jeff Amell, junior, TE/DE
Outlook: The defending state champions no longer have Fitzpatrick Trophy winner Nate Doehler at quarterback. He`s playing at Maine. As a result, the Scots are likely to come back to the pack a little. Still, Bonny Eagle feels it has enough talent to compete for another championship. Nason moves from wide receiver to quarterback and brings the qualities the Scots are looking for in a QB. The team is stocked at running back and wide receiver. Davis has the potential to be one of the best receivers in Western Class A, and Proudman will get his share of carries. The Scots aren`t as big in the line as past seasons, but they`re not small, either.
