Coach: Jason Libby, fifth year
Last year: 9-3, lost in state final
Returning starters: eight
Impact players: Nick Moore, senior, OL/DE; Jay Underwood, senior, OG/DT; Mike Walton, senior, QB/DB; J Cavanagh, senior, TE/LB; Tyler Russell, senior, FB/LB; Pat Wolfe, senior, TB/DB
Outlook: The Shipbuilders are strong in the skill positions and could be back vying for a state title if the line comes along. Wolfe had a great stretch midway through the season before getting injured. He rushed for 1,000 yards and scored seven touchdowns. Walton is a returning starter at quarterback who will be counted on to be a playmaker and continue his strong game management. Cavanagh is the leader of the defense and a player who could be moved around on offense, depending on the situation. Underwood and Moore are returning starters in the line.
