Coach: Aaron Filieo, sixth year
Last year: 9-2, lost in Western Maine final
Returning starters: 9
Impact players: Tom Foden, senior, RB/DB; Ezra Wolfinger, senior, QB/DB; Finn Melanson, senior, WR/DB; James Martin, senior, C/DT; Brenden Shields, senior, RB/DB; Kyle Piscopo, senior, RB/LB
Outlook: The Capers are state title contenders. The team has talent at all skill positions and return three out of five starters in the line. Foden is a returning all-state selection. A strong runner and pass catcher, Foden is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Wolfinger starts his second straight year at QB and has one of the strongest arms in Class B, plus strong leadership abilities. He will look to throw to Foden and Melanson. Cape needs to stay healthy because depth could be a question mark. Newcomers will have to blend in quickly.
