Lost

Coach: Troy Kendrick (21st season)
Last season: 5-5-3 in Western Class D
Top returners: G Lindsy Hoopingarner (So), D Sable Strout (Sr), D Brooke Lancaster (Jr.), D Katie Webster (So.), MF Danielle Bunikis (Sr.), MF Tara Hurley (Jr.), MF Megan DeRaps (Sr.), MF Katelyn McAuliffe (Jr.), D Leia Nash (Sr.), F Danica Hurley (So.),
Key newcomers: MF/F Noell Acord (Fr.), F/MF Payton Johnson (Fr.), MF Jamie Plummer (Fr.), MF Emily Leavitt (Fr.), D Ciarra Lancaster (Fr.), D Bri Snedeker (Fr). D Marlena Carter (Fr.)
Outlook: The Bobcats made the most of a small, inexperienced squad last season and should reap the benefits this fall. They’ve doubled the number of candidates coming out for the team and return all but one player from a year ago. They suffered a blow when they lost sophomore and leading scorer Leandra Martin to an ACL injury but they also got back senior Leia Nash who missed last season with the same injury. Kendrick says defense wil be his team’s strong suit and he’s hoping the offense will be spread around a little more this season.
Coach’s comment: “I’m thinking we should be in the miix. We kind of paid our dues last year.”
