Key newcomers: Hannah Wardwell (Jr., sprints), Chimene Goewey (Jr., mid-distance), Maggie Oeen (Jr., sprints, mid-distance)
Outlook: The Huskies did not field a team last year. Cardenas, a Lawrence graduate, takes over the program and expects the girls to be competitive. Wardwell finished third in the 100 and eighth in the 200 at the Class C outdoor meet last spring
Coach’s comment: “We’re looking to get a year under our belts, just to get some experience.”
