Outlook: Ranslow, who coached the team in 2005 when it won a state championship, returns for a year to coach the team while Jim Patrick takes a sabbatical. He has a talented big man in Shepherd, who averaged 7.5 blocks a game last season. Penetrating guard Woods is another talented player although he’s recovering from a hamstring injury. Plummer, Jones and Cheung also saw big minutes last season but the development of the younger players will hold the key to the season.
Coach’s comment: “We’ve got a lot of work to do. I’m still trying to figure it out.”
