Outlook: The Mustangs just missed the playoffs last season and lost a number of close games. Although this team has no seniors, it’s not inexperienced. Davis, Gibbs and Wren each saw a lot of playing time as freshmen last season and are expected to take on greater roles. Jack Simpson is a high energy guy who Caron expects will contribute. The Mustangs have five freshmen, and they could see important minutes, too.
Coach’s comment: “These are kids you love to work with because you’ve got their focus and attention. We’ll surprise some people this year.”
