Outlook: The Lakers are young, with three freshmen and three eighth graders making up 60 percent of the roster. Coach Clark will lean on Elmes, the only senior, and juniors Haley and Batchelder, for leadership. The Lakers will look to improve all season, with the goal of playing well enough to earn a playoff spot and a trip to the regional tournament at the Augusta Civic Center.
Coach’s comment: “We’re going to go right into the fire. We’re looking at it like, it’s not where you start, it’s where you end up.”
