MaineToday.com photo What to expect Sunday
In an attempt to get an understanding of what the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts will face during Sunday's AFC championship, MaineToday.com designed a state of the art computer simulation. Actually, we played the game on a Nintendo Wii.

It wasn't pretty. The Colts won handily, 50-34.

Here is what our "coaches" had to say about the simulation and some video highlights. If you only have time to check out one, please see Instant Replay On Colts Touchdown. It's a "coaches'" commentary attached to the instant replay of a touchdown.

MEET THE COACHES
'COACHING' THE COLTS

What Jim O'Brien, blogger for Game On, lacks in football strategy, he more than compensates with his familiarity with Wii gaming.

For those 60 minutes, I actually WAS the Indianapolis Colts, and we beat those Pats like so many rented mules"

'COACHING' THE PATS

Content producer Ed Walsh brings an understanding of NFL strategy and players' abilities.

"To beat Indianapolis, put pressure on Manning and stop Harrison... I quickly found that easier said than done."

I think that WII is available in HD - and WGME is not.
So the simulation looked much sharper.

Isn't there a way to get Sinclair Broadcasting out of this state? report abuse
